Rustic Home layouts

I really LOVE this great paper packet and this fun kit I designed last summer.

I added some Seaglass cardstock (our 2016-2017 color of the year), white cardstock
and Kraft cardstock.

The major supplies used (in addition to the cardstock listed above) is the Rustic Home Fundamentals paper pack and  All Together Complements.

I love the copper elements in the paper pack- it's such a nice change from the traditional gold and silver.

National Papercrafting Month

At Close To My Heart, we like to celebrate National Papercrafting Month in January of each year- with some type of FUN project... and this year they didn't disappoint.

This home d├ęcor wreath kit comes with all die cut pieces, ready for assembly.

Here's a video from CTMH showing a quick assembly of the wreath and flower rolling

In the video the tool used to roll the flowers is called a Quilling tool and can be found --> here

I used that tool on my own wreath as well.  If you don't have one you can roll the flowers using a pen or pencil but the quilling tool is definitely easier, and the flowers end up a little "tighter"

Lastly- here's MY wreath that I assembled for my classes January 22 and 28.

I love this kit so much and can't wait to help others create their own.

You can find more details on this kit by clicking here (even how to earn it FREE)

As you can see- I sponged my white roses with pink.  I also added pink sponging on my banner but it's hard to see in this photo.

If you live in or around southwest MI and are free January 28 (10-noon)- you are invited to attend my class!  Send me a note here for more details

new year, new goals

Hi there!  I can't believe we're into 2017 already... last year was crazy and I was sick a LOT... so I hadn't posted as much as I would have liked... but it's a new year and I'm hoping to share a lot with you!  I'm going to start by sharing all the fun projects from fall that I never got to post.

Today I'm sharing the first 2 of 4 fun layouts I created for my October retreat using the Flower Market Cricut cartridge by CTMH.

I had a few of each kit left that I sold either at a crop or on my facebook page and boy... those sold so fast!!

When you see the titles of these, I'm sure you'll know the titles for the other 2 layouts that I'll post tomorrow :)

The Flower Market does have a lot of fun flower images that layer quite nicely, but it's not JUST flowers.  There are plenty of great titles, banners, and non-flower images as well.

If you own Flower Market- you can use these Design Space cut files to recreate my layout using your own cardstock.
