summer beach and road trip scrapbook layouts Day 1

Last weekend was my annual spring retreat.  Every year I design a layout class that is optional for my attendees to create for an additional fee.

I'll share these with you over the next few days.

I like to show the diversity of our products through Close To My Heart so I designed the workshop with the "Chalk it up" paper pack which is designed primarily for school themed pages... and the Seaside Picture My Life Cards.  There's enough "basic" patterns from Chalk it Up - and the colors from both packs coordinate nicely.

How I put this together:
2 background sheets of white cardstock
1 sheet of Flaxen (I used a long straight edge from a ruler, on my Versamat, with a cutting knife, to cut this sheet diagonally to form 2 triangles)
Cricut Artbooking was used to cut "coolin' off" in Blue glitter paper
Additional glitter paper , as well as patterned paper from the kit was cut for accent pieces.  Photo mats were cut to hold 1 5x7 and 2- 4x6 photos.  (so I cut them at 5.5x7.5 and 4.5x6.5)
6 Picture my life cards were used including one that the seahorse, and one that the fish were all cut from.
Clear sequins and gold polka dot washi tape finished the page.
Thanks for stopping by... and i'd LOVE to see who is visiting my page.  Leave a comment if you have a minute...thanks!
