National Papercrafting Month- Year noted

January is National Papercrafting Month and I'm especially in love with this year's special.

It's totally in tune with my new year's resolution to do more crafting for (and about)me.

There are two versions of the Year Noted kit.  Both come with some really beautiful papers. (2 sheets of 1 double sided paper design plus several sheets of coordinating cardstock.), plus a gold sheet of stickers and a PERFECT stamp that I love.

The difference in kits is that one version comes without the kraft colored mini album and the other comes with it.

I opted to go with the album version.  I REALLY miss all the traveling for vacations that I used to do and made a resolution this year to get back to the basics and travel with my family...just for fun!

This mini album will be a great way to keep track of our 2015 adventures.  I can't wait to show you the pages and photos I add as we trek across the country this year.

As I was creating this, I realized that maybe I should share my super easy way to stamp straight when using alphabet stamps.

1.   I line my alphabet (in this case... the numbers for my year) up exactly how I want them on my project, playing with spacing and alignment.
2.  I lay the block directly over top , the letters will stick, lift off the page and be ready for inking.  This way you already know they are lined up and will be arranged just how you wanted them when you ink.
There you go.  A simple method for straight words when using an alphabet or number stamp set ;)
