A new stamp of the month for March 2014

***Edited March 6th to fix links***

Hello!
Welcome to a BRAND NEW month and a NEW stamp set from Close To My Heart!

Join us this month as about 60 or so consultants share their ideas for this cute stamp set.  If you are coming from Gina's Blog you are headed in the right direction.  If you are just joining the hop here at my blog- NO PROBLEM... it Should make a circle and loop around.

As a reminder- Our stamp of the Month sets are available for only ONE MONTH... get it before it's gone- it retires March 31, 2014.

So- here's a preview of the set:

How do you like these adorable Russian Stacking Dolls?  They seem to be EVERYWHERE in the stores... cookie jars, towels, home d├ęcor... I never noticed until the stamp set came out.  The images are too cutesy for me to scrapbook... I just personally couldn't envision what I would do with them.  So I went to my faithful pinterest and searched "Russian Stacking Dolls."  Please note that my card, while made with 100% Close To My heart products... was totally inspired by pinterest.    I just LOVE bright colors and loved the concept of the cards I saw... so here is my version:

The colors are off slightly- I had to use the camera on my phone instead of my dslr.  This was not a "fast card".  I stamped the images in black pigment ink.  I colored with watercolor pencils and then went over it all with a blending pen.
cardstock colors: white and black.

Because of the "haze" over the middle of the card from lighting and a crappy camera- this card doesn't look as vibrant as it is in real life.  I Love the way it turned out and hope you do too!

Next up visit Sarita's blog to see what she's come up with.

Embossing folder sale-ending soon!

Through the month of February (ends THIS Friday!!) CTMH is running a special on our NEW embossing folders!  Buy 2 packs of cardstock get an embossing folder of your choice FREE!

Any solid color and combo packs of cardstock count except White, Kraft, Colonial White and the new basic foundations cardstock pack.  You have 40 solid colors and 4 combo packs to select from and you can peruse your choices by clicking here.

These are the 5 embossing folders we now have available :  All are slightly larger than 5x7 so you can emboss a good sized piece.  They also  have a slit at the fold line so that you could emboss longer pieces (i.e... 4x12 borders for your layouts!!)  I've scoured the local stores and can not find this feature on any of the folders sold locally... so this is pretty cool!  When you shop online and add two packs of cardstock to your cart.. you will be prompted to choose a free embossing folder!

PLUS... when you shop from my site in February you will receive a FREE roll of self adhesive shimmer tape in one of our new colors teal or purple.  I am shipping these out next Monday when I've tallied all the online orders for the month and gather addresses.

You do NOT need to order the embossing folder special to receive a free shimmer trim.  Any online order of $25 or more qualifies during February as your gift from me!  It is my 9 year anniversary with CTMH and YOU get the gift ;)

Ivy Lane meets Kraft container

Every month I design layouts and cards for my club members but this time I wanted to try something different.  Along with two fun cards my card-makers are creating this fun kraft container in February (or March depending on which club they are in)

Products used:
Kraft container
Ivy Lane Paper
Artiste Cricut cartridge (for banner)
Oodles of Doodles Stamp set
Stamp pads:  Chocolate and Smokey Plum
Holiday Tags stamp set

Sizes:  I measured the sides of the container to get the measurements I needed for the green piece and strip around the lid.  The strip at the bottom was the zip strip from the top of one of the papers in the pack (the zip strip has the item number, name and colors on one side and a pretty design on the other so when you cut it off you can still use it!  )  The circle on the top of the lid is 2 3/4 inches.  The stamp set tells you to cut the banner at 1" on your cricut.  (don't have Artiste- just stamp and trim around the image)  I inked the doodle stamp in Chocolate, stamped off on a scrap and then onto the banner piece.  This made the doodle lighter so the words showed up better.
This cute container could be used to package candy, gift cards, etc... OR change the wording on the banner to make a mini money bank, trinket holder etc!

Hope you enjoyed my little peek into one of this month's projects!  If you like any of the items you see- simply click a link above or visit www.tracigodbee.ctmh.com .  This month is my 9 year anniversary and I'm mailing free gifts next week to everyone that ordered from my site this month!

headband style

Ok... here's a story... I made a headband... so cute!!!  It went together really quickly.
My daughter HATES headbands... totally hates them... Soooo.  I bribed my 4 year old son to wear this for my picture.  I bribed him with a trip to the mall and promised not to show his face.
He totally fell for it.

So the hair might be a total mess but at least I got a photo!  I used the Sarita textiles, burlap ribbon, base and bling headband (which I tried on and it wasn't all pokey like some metal headbands... it was actually kind of a nice fit), circle sticky dots and then the retired silver shimmer brad in the center...  I also used liquid glass to hold some of the stuff in place- but not much... I really used the adhesive dots for most of it.

This went together in about 5 minutes.  Just a quick, simple project.

Page Kit- Grandmother

I am just loving this Ivy Lane Paper pack...  If you visit my facebook page you 'll know that I periodically post page kits for sale.  These are kits I design, cut and package and I used to only sell them at crops but now I post them on facebook.  I posted this page kit last night (I had 10 available.)  I sold 6 in the first hour... yeah!  That means I have FOUR left.  I am posting a link here to sell two of them.  The kits are $9 plus $4 if you need it shipped (I live in SW Michigan between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek... if you are in the vicinity I'm happy to arrange pick up if you want to save that $4.  I will be ready to begin shipping these kits next week.

What comes with the kit?  pre-cut papers.  Pre-cut glitter "grandmother" which can be shortened to "mother" if you prefer.  Full Ivy Lane sticker pack.
color photo to use for assembly.

The shipping is a flat fee... so if you were to purchase both... it's only $4 shipping total.

**note** while I don't collect sales tax on page kits - MI sales tax is paid on all supplies at the time I purchase them.  That cost is rolled into my pricing.
