CTMH May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome!!!
I am so very excited for this month's blog hop.  I have been waiting to use the Pinwheel stamp set ever since the Spring/Summer Idea book was first released to consultants in January.

So sit back and enjoy this blog hop and all the wonderful ideas you'll find along the way.  If you've come from Laurie's blog- welcome!  The next post is found at the bottom of this post.  If you are just starting the hop with my blog- no worries- it should make a complete circle if all goes well!

This set SCREAMS summer... and being in Michigan we are just now hitting warm weather.  So... here is the set:
This super fun stamp set is $17.95 or only $5 with a purchase of $50 or more May 1-31, 2013

Here is my layout:  waiting for a single photo of my daughter.
Excuse the shadows...  I took the photo outside for natural light and didn't pay attention to the plants next to the walkway...oops!

Colors:
smokey plum, smoothie, sweet leaf, twilight, sorbet, cocoa and honey.

The alphabet set spelling "addison" is the Bohemian stamp set
The pinwheels, stars and "you make the world go round" are all from the stamp of the month set.

I hope you love this as much as I do!

Now head over to Kathy's blog to continue on the hop.

cricut class

This spring has been tremendously busy for me as I work towards earning the Cost Rica Incentive trip through Close To My Heart.

That just means I have a pile up of photos to post :)

I will start with the spring Cricut class I designed.  I design a new class with each Idea Book and then use the same project with all of my spring cricut classes... then I design a new one for fall etc.

The cricut class is just that... a class where I teach you to use your cricut Expressions (the original Expressions).  The latest class had about 6-7 people.  I've taught my class to well over 60 people at this point.

I charge $5 to cover supplies and everyone creates the project (hands on learning is always best!) plus you take home a booklet with the instructions to recreate the project.

If you are in lower Michigan or Northern Indiana and want to book this class- let me know!  Any mileage over 50 one-way ( I am in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area of MI) and the fee goes up to $15 per person which is STILL a great deal!

This class uses the Cricut Artiste Cartridge by Close To My Heart which can be found here.

X5764 Pear Cardstock
1272 Cranberry Cardstock

Cricut® Shapes:
Artiste
1" Shift+3D Object (cut 56, p. 57)

Art Tip! This banner only uses one type of Cricut® shape, but the finished product is still stunning. Use stamp kissing to randomly stamp across the pieces using the stamp set of your choice. Score with the help of the Cricut®-cut score lines on the shape and piece together to create little globes. Tie together with baker’s twine and voila!

Cricut® Shapes:
Artiste
4½" 3D Object (p. 77)
4½" Shift+3D Object (cut 2, p. 77)
1" Shift+Accent 2 (p. 51)

Art Tip! This project uses many Cricut® shapes and all the pieces coordinate so nicely for an adorable finished product. Use the Artiste assembly booklet to put the bag together and then add the embellishments. The feathers are created with punched circles that are stamped using the kissing technique; however, if you don’t have the circle punch, you can easily make these using the Cricut as well. The eyes were created using Shimmer designer brads, but you can use any large brad or button to create the same look. Finish with the “owl miss you sentiment” for a special touch.
