Friendship Bouquet SOTM Hop

It's the end of a month and you know what that means... Stamp of the Month Blog Hop time!  May's Stamp of the Month set is a cute set of sunflowers with super fun sayings.

If you are joining my site from Lisa's blog- you are heading in the right direction... but if you are just stopping in at my blog first- that is ok too!  The blog hop (if everyone behaves) should make a complete circle.  The next stop in the hop is going to  be Dawn's blog when you are done here.

So... on to the show.  First off... it was rainy and yucky outside so I had to take my pictures indoors... and they are so-so.

I used the big sunflower on the set to design the front of my card.
A close up of the coloring.  I used Indian Corn Blue, chocolate, Creme Brulee, and Sunset inks with the Blending pen.

I used the Kraft Scallop Edge cards for these.  I adhered the scalloped edge to the base to form a pocket and inserted a packet of sunflower seeds.

The sentiment says:
"Plant a seed of friendship; reap a bouquet of happiness.  Lois L. Kaufman"
Then it says "Your friendship means so much to me"

These sentiments are both part of the stamp set.

If you are not sure how our Stamp of the month program works... each set is $17.95 and only available during "thier" month.  If you spend $50 on other product, you can add the stamp of the month for only $5.

In May- since we have the Dotty For You promotion going... (scroll down for info)  you can spend $45, add the Dotty paper for $5 and then you qualify for the Stamp of the Month for $5!!!   So essentially - $82.90 retail value for $55 before shipping and tax!  Gather some friends to place orders and at $150 you earn hostess rewards!

You Blow Me Away

Couldn't help it... had to pull out my Footloose paper for more crafting fun!!
This card is my free make and take during April/May events.  I taught it at a Home Party in Lawton, MI last weekend and they seemed to love it because they bought a lot of the supplies we used on the card.

This is also my free make and take for crops I am co-hosting May 5th and May 19th.

{Supplies used:  Footloose Level 2 paper pack; white card and envelope pack, blending pen, Olive watercolor pencil, lagoon marker, lagoon stamp pad, desert sand stamp pad, sorbet stamp pad, creme brulee stamp pad, sponge and color ready seam binding}

***Color Ready Seam Binding is simply awesome!!!  Instead of CTMH trying to decide which colors to carry it in- they are carrying ONE COLOR- white/ Color Ready- which means- with one little sponge you can color it any color you want by simply dragging it through the ink pad color of your choice!!!  LOVE IT.  This is Creme Brulee dyed ribbon on my card.
The seam binding is 10yards for $6.95 and you can view it by clicking here.

Dotty for You!

Since I showed some layouts with the Limited Edition Dotty for You set already... I thought I'd show the paper on a card for my cardmaking friends!

I used Lagoon and white Daisy cardstock.  The Sweet Leaf cardstock was used to cut my butterfly using the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  the patterned butterfly and zig zag paper are fromt he Dotty for You set.  I used self adhesive pearls and color ready seam binding that I dyed with D. Sand ink.  All supplies are from Close To My Heart and can be purchased at my website at :  http://www.tracigodbee.ctmh.com/
Please note that when you spend $35 or more before shipping and tax you can add the Dotty for You paper pack for only $5.
Dotty for You is a set of 24 patterned papers (2 each of 12 designs)  The fronts all are full color designs while that back of each is monochromatic polka dots... plenty of colors to choose from!

There is a good mix of what I consider "girly" papers and "generic" papers which are good for girls, boys, adults etc... If you look down a couple posts - you will see that I used some papers for family reunion photos, some for beach and others for my daughter... a good mix.
Once I get some more photos printed I'll show off a few more layouts!

If you are loving this paper like I am... head over to my site and shop - add your order to the Mystery Hostess event listed and everyone ordering through that site will be entered in a drawing.  The winner will win a minimum of $25 in Hostess rewards- it could be  more depending on the total of the Mystery Hostess online party.  As of today the party is at $130 and climbing!

Missy S. posted a comment on my last post that she wanted to see a card made with the lighthouse from the Perfect Day stamp set... well it just so happens that I had already made one!  In fact Missy- since you are one of my club members I will spill the beans and let you know that these two cards are part of a card set I've created for club... so hold tight till May 6th and you can choose to purchase this kit at club!  For the rest of you... If you are interested in creating these or any other project on my blog- just leave a comment or send me a note.

Perfect Day

I love when I get a chance to sit and play with my stamps.  I was looking to make something a little different this time around.  I've been creating a lot of "girlie" stuff and wanted to veer in a different direction for a few days.  Here is one of the cards I made in a recent crafting frenzy.   It uses the Cruisin paper and Perfect Day stamps by Close to My Heart.  There are so many great products in the Spring/Summer Idea Book.  I am having fun creating a ton of artwork.  I have already finished more layouts this year than most of last year all together. (well... traditional layouts that is.  I did a lot of Studio J scrapbooking last year!)
If you are curious about what other fun things we carry- visit my website here.  I have a Mystery Hostess party in progress and everyone that orders will have a chance to win the hostess rewards!  Plus- I am donating part of my profits through that party to a local young lady that is working to earn $1000 to sing in New York City with her high school choir!

Coming April 17... to a consultant near you

The National Scrapbooking Month special-  Dotty For You begins April 17th.  In anticipation I've been creating some artwork to show off this great special!

First- Dotty for You is a pack of 24 sheets of paper.  There are 2 each of 12 designs.  The sheets are double sided.  The front has a full color design and the back is monochromatic polka dots.  So even if the front doesn't excite you- the back is so versatile that everyone can use it for something! PLUS it comes with a full color insert full of layout and card ideas.

The retail value of the package is $19.95.  There are 3 ways to get one for yourself!  1)  Make a $35 purchase and add Dotty for You for only $5,  2) Host a party of $400 or more and get it free OR 3)  Join my team and it will be added to your new consultant kit!

Here is some artwork I've created so far with this set:
This layout uses the grey polka dot and butterfly papers from the set.  It also uses Cork color ready alphabet, smoothie Keepsake felt alphabet, smoothie cardstock and Desert sand ink to distress the edges.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the large scallop circle at about 9 3/4 inches.
On the second layout I again used the Cork Alphabet as well as white daisy and Lagoon Cardstock to mat.  I used Sweet Leaf cardstock as my base paper.
On the 3rd layout I used Sweet Leaf Cardstock, Lagoon Cardstock, Grey Wool Cardstock, Paradise paper flowers and Bakers Twine.  I printed my journaling on the Sweet Leaf Polka dot pattern from the Dotty for YOu pack and cut it into strips
The Dotty for You pack does not include Creme Brulee in the patterns but I thought that color cardstock looked good on this layout.  I also used White and lagoon cardstock and the cork alphabet.

The butterflies were cut from leftover paper on the first layout.  I think there is a good mix of "girl" and "generic" paper to use for boys.    If you take the butterflies off this layout it could easily be switched to a "little brother" layout... Hmmm... I might be on to something.  I printed all of the photos in duplicate and I have another sheet of that zigzag paper...  I might just do that!

That's my sneak peek for today...  I will be back in a few days with my May card post... so watch for that!

I almost forgot!!!  The winner of my Footloose paper pack contest posted on my shadowbox post last week is Tracie Thomes!  I had 3 people e-mail me that they tried to post a comment and it showed an error so I included them in the drawing last week!  Congrats Tracie and I will e-mail you about your prize!

party planning?

The Spring/Summer Idea Book has so many fun new things.

When I was done creating all ot the Footloose layouts I've previously shown, I decided to pull out my new My Creations Milk Cartons (2 to a pack for $4.95) and use up my scraps.

This would have made a great party favor container for my daughter's luau birthday last fall.

The milk cartons come with the little clips that close the carton... but you could also use our fun binder clips.

COMING APRIL 17:  When you purchase $35 or more in product you can add the Dotty for You paper pack to your order for only $5...  24 sheets (2 each of 12) of awesome cardstock weight patterns.

You can purchase any of the current CTMH products by clicking here.

At checkout- you will have the option of attaching your order to a party.  If you do not know any of the hostesses listed- feel free to select the Mystery Hostess event.  Every person that orders through that link each month will have the opportunity to win the hostess rewards earned through that link!!!  So go ahead... Place your order (wait till April 17th if you want the Dotty For YOu pack) and maybe you'll have more free product headed your way when the Mystery Hostess event closes!
