March Blog Hop Time!

I love these monthly blog hops...  so many great ideas!!   If you've come from Tammy's blog- you're on the right track...  the link to the next blog is at the end of this post!
This months set "A Little Everything" is full of great holiday/ celebration words in a font unlike any of our others currently available.  Today I have 2 cards to show!
This first one is a card using the You Rock paper pack and some natural hemp.  I thought with these colors I'd jump forward and make some Father's Day cards!
All supplies are by CTMH :
You Rock Paper Pack, natural hemp, Goldrush stamp pad, Outdoor Denim stamp pad, A Little Everything (March Stamp of the Month Item # D1408)

The second card just sort of happened - It's a case of this card.  I had wanted to use some of our felt this month with my stamp clubs and when I happened upon that card through some blog surfing, I knew I wanted to recreate it with Close To My Heart products for my club members.

So this card will be a club project this month!  Products:  Tulip, Topiary and Sweet Leaf Cardstock, Tinkering Level 2 Paper Pack (this Sunflower colored stripe is the back side of a very colorful striped paper- LOVE our 2- sided pattern paper!) Topiary Stamp Pad, Heartfelt Whimsy Die Cut Felt, Topiary Accents (discontinued), Embroidery Floss- Green Asst. , With Love Stamps, A Little Everything Stamps

I had fun taking a design using all non-CTMH product and re-creating it with our products!

Thanks for hopping on by...  your next stop is Lori- so go check out her fun project!  If you get lost anywhere along the way- head to Jena's blog - she's the hop coordinator and either she or the person right after her (Helen) will have the full list of swappers.

Veranda

I love the Veranda papers by Close to my Heart.  I used them to design this travel layout for my club.  I think this layout will be perfect to use after the trip to England that I'll be taking with my family this summer!

stamp set:  Travel Series- Postcards
colors:  chocolate, Juniper, Creme Brulee, White Daisy

The right page has two small photo mats at the bottom, spread apart.  I'm planning to cut two photos such that they fit on the photo mats and two the same size as the mats.  The 2 that are the same size will be adhered in the open spaces.

February club card

Here's one of the club cards my stamp club members made this weekend... along with this card previously posted and a 3rd that I'll post later this week after I take a photo of it.

Colors:  Crystal Blue, Desert Sand and Colonial White
Stamps:  Welcome Home stamp set
Embellishments:  Winter Cozy Buttons, Colonial White Designer Ribbon Rounds, Natural Hemp

To Note:  The lamp was stamped on the C. White piece in Desert Sand and onto a scrap in Crystal Blue - the C. Blue shade was cut out and adhered over the D. Sand

The hemp was used to tie the button to the Croched ribbon.

I'm back...

and feeling better!  Sorry for the disappearance act but for two whole weeks my house was filled with the ickies...  One day both kids got sick on the same day...with different things!  By the end of two weeks- we'd all had a stomach bug, both kids had double ear infections, the baby "almost" had bronchitis, my husband and I both had horrible colds... it just kept coming and I guarantee no paper crafting was going on in this house...lol!

Since then...I've been playing catch up to try to meet all of the commitments I have.
The first was to design a free project for a crop I vendored yesterday.

I saw a cute card by another consultant that used the new Springtime stamp set with liquid glass so it looks like it's raining.  I copied her idea of making legs but changed a few other things.  I decided to make a 4x4 card and used the Veranda papers.

Ahoy Matey!

Halloween 2007- Addie was a pirate!  How fun.
This is another layout I finished at the weekend retreat a few weeks ago... The paper is all CTMH but the rub-ons are not.  I can't remember which company they are from but I've literally had them since about the day before the photos were taken!  I held on to them all this time just waiting till I was ready to scrapbook these photos.  Once I was done with this layout- I gave the leftover rub-ons to a fellow scrapper whose children LOVE to play pirate...which is why I can't tell you the supplier!  I was so happy to rid myself of SOMETHING from my scrapbooking supply pile..lol

The photos were taken with the layout standing up so that's why it looks a little "slouchy" in the photo.  The skull and crossbone diecut was one I cut using a friend's cricut... I have no idea which cartridge it was from but it was my FIRST cricut experience...fun!
The photos on the first layout are of Addie trick or treating at the Binder Park Zoo with her friend Lukas.  The second page is of the daycare party.
The white strip going across the bottom of both pages is just white cardstock.  I didn't really want to mat the photos so I sanded around the edges of all the photos to give a white border.

{supplies:  CTMH:  Cranberry, White daisy and Black cardstock; Sandpaper  OTHER: rub-ons, cricut cartridge}

quick post...

I'm home with sick kids today so here's a quick post...

It's just one side of a two- page layout but I wanted to show how I combined a color ready sticker title with a rub-on.  All supplies from CTMH.

By the way... the photos were all from Christmas cards we received in 2007!
