Stamp of the Month Blog Hop...

Welcome back for another month of awesome artwork by over 60 talented consultants!!
This month's Stamp of the Month set is called "Thriller" - just in time for Halloween!

If you've come from  Melinda's       blog- you're heading in the right direction- the next blog on the hop is at the end of my post.

I'm not typically much of a skull type of girl- but i did have fun making some party favors with this set!

I filled some snack size Ziploc bags with yummy candy corn (thankfully it's sold year round because nobody around here is selling Halloween candy yet!)

I made some cute bag toppers with the skull stamp and the "Trick or Treat" and "Happy Haunting" sentiments
On the glass bottle - I used staz-on ink to stamp the flourish and the sentiments were stamped in Pear and Gypsy.  I used pear and sunset ribbons and Sunset brads to finish off around the rim.  All papers are from the new Hooligans paper pack.  I kept everything rather simple because really- what kid is going to pay attention to the packaging... they just want what's inside!-

Hope you enjoyed my little peek-  you're next stop on the hop is  Angela's  blog!

I'm baaack....

So sorry I've been MIA over the last few weeks....  for good reason!  Our family had been planning a trip to England for the past 2 years to visit my best friend who's there with her family.  Her hubby is in the Air Force and for about 2 more years- they will call England their home.

I have about 600 photos from the week and would love to share a few here- I promise to weed them down to just a few :)
First though-  I have a sneak peek to show of a project I'm working on.  I'd just show the whole thing but honestly- It's not finished.  I really have not had time to create during the last month and last night I sent everyone to bed early so I could relax and have time with my craft supplies!!

this is one result (I have several partially finished projects- i really don't "need" them till late September so I'll be ordering the last few items I need to complete them... but if I don't show you this- well- then there's nothing! .... really- no time to craft lately..

Isn't it so cute!!  I can't wait to show you the final result of my late night crafting... till then- I hope this will do.  The papers and stickers are all from the brand new "Hooligans" pack debuting September 1st from Close To My Heart.  I have a very fun layout that is nearly complete.  I'll show that once my order arrives so i can finish it!

As for trip photos... here's a few to start you off.   There are 2 pictures of the outside of Ely Cathedral, one of many beautiful stained glass window photos I took inside Ely Cathedral and the group shot of all of the kids (my 2 and the other 3 are all my friend's boys) was taken outside Oliver Cromwell's house in Ely.  Fun times!!

And lastly-  I've added my fun paperclip bookmarks to my Etsy Shop (theres a link in the right hand column!)  We are saving our money to build an addition onto our house and the items sold on Etsy will go towards that-  I'd love if you'd stop in and take a peek there from time to time to see if something catches your eye!!

A slight hiatus...

Hi There-  I know in my last post I mentioned posting more artwork soon- and I apologize if you've been looking for it.  I had planned to set up some posts to go live while I was on vacation and I ran out of time... I'm still on vacation but will be home in time for the weekend...  Thanks to my Close To My Heart business... I'm currently in England with my family visiting my best friend and her family.

I'll be back ASAP with art-
