July club layout... Gardens in Bloom

This was the layout my club members could choose to make in July:
Base pages= Colonial White Cardstock
also used:  Sunflower, Garden Green, Bamboo and Sunflower Cardstock.  "b", "l", and "M' were cut on my cricut.  the "o"'s were made with retired hollyhock blooms and Colonial White buttons.
Hollyhock stitched ribbon added some finishing touches.
Once all the papers were attached (before the photos) I spritzed the pages with a mixture of water and Desert Sand reinker.
My flower petals, leaves and stem were all freehand cut and wet in water, curled the edges and let dry before attaching.
The open rectangle on the second page is for journaling- I'll get to that soon but wanted to show the layout with pictures.

You've probobly seen most of these photos on my blog in recent weeks... they were all taken in my yard this summer.

On another note... I am trying a few new things as of late-  I am planning a Holiday Boutique style sale this fall selling all handmade items.  I've had a lot of comments on some of my photos and wanted some gift ideas using them.  Here is my first endeavor:
How about a set of notecards using my dragonfly photo?  This picture really doesn't do it justice...  actually- my layout photos weren't that great either- I might have forgotten to use my flash.  At any rate-  It's a standard size notecard that I had printed (ok- I had 20 printed through an on-line company) and they turned out pretty darn good... I'll be having some butterfly photos printed next.  I'm planning to sell them at $1.75 each (with envelope included) or 4cards/ 5 envelopes for $5.50.  We are in desperate need of building an addition on our house before the kids get too much older and so any handmade items or notecards I sell will go towards that.
If you are interested in my notecards- you can e-mail me here.  Shipping will be a bit extra.  $1 for a single card (they'll come in a clear plastic sleeve) and $2.50 for a set (they'll come in a very nice clear plastic card box)  In a few days/ weeks I'll be adding some items to an ETSY account I opened and will be selling some handmade items from there.

that's it for today- Off to work I go.  Have a nice one!

I like the notecard idea. I love the button "o"'s in the word bloom!
