Springtime

This week my club meets for our April Stamp Club gathering.
I have both scrapbookers and card makers in the same club so they get to choose between a layout and 3 cards.  For the card makers-  the first card is posted on March 31 as part of the April Blog Hop... the second card you will see in the customer newsletter that goes out Tuesday (sorry- it won't be posted here... I'm submitting it for the CTMH consultant art contest) and the 3rd card... well- I forgot to take a photo but it's a Mother's Day card and I will post it soon!.  The scrapbook layout however, is being posted here.
If you get Creating Keepsakes Magazine... you'll notice that the left side of my layout is a knock off of their cover layout in a recent issue...  It IS different- I turned mine into a 12x12 and changed multiple things... I had received a request from a customer to design a layout with the Springtime stamp set because she loved the umbrellas (or at least I hope that is the image she liked... because I used a whole lotta umbrellas on this layout ;)

I used the colors:  Watermelon, Ocean, Citrus Leaf, Honey and Bamboo along with White Daisy.

Stamps:  Springtime

Tools:  EK Success Corner Rounder (also sold by CTMH)

Embellishments:  White Daisy Just Blooms sponged with Citrus Leaf and Basic Buttons for flower centers.

My photo colors are off... The Watermelon in both layouts looks like 2 different colors- the left layout is actually truer colors.

Since I'm sooo far behing in posting artwork - I'll add this photo here... It is not a club project but I did create it for a spring card swap with several customers last weekend.  It is a pretty simple card- what I love most is the color combo of Bamboo, Colonial White, Tulip and Twilight.  Used some Natural Twill and Bamboo buttons (Basic button pack) as well as some waxy flax.
