Animal Cookies Class

If you live near Kalamazoo/ Battle Creek MI and are interested... here's the details for my next scrapbooking class:
Layout 1:
Layout 2:

layout 3: I don't have photos on this one yet- I'm planning to use it to make a "big sister" layout for my daughter's album and don't have any photos developed yet of Addie with Kaden. The circle on the left page says " I never believed in love at first sight until I met you". I haven't decided yet if I want to add that or something else so I cut the sticker out of the sticker sheet and set it on the page for my picture- but I also used it to trace a circle onto blue cardstock in case I choose a different sentiment for that spot since I haven't actually added photos yet.

This layout holds 4- 3x3 photos on the left page, 1- 3x3 and 1 4x6 on the right side.

The 3 cards: Note that none are Mailing size- they are all smaller and meant to be used on packages/ gift bags etc.

Did I mention all the LEFTOVERS- you'll have 5 whole sheets of patterned paper, lots of scrap papers and a LOT of foam die cut letters to use on other projects!!

In case you are wondering about the foam die cut numbers- here's a side profile:

Happy Memorial Day!!

I hope you are enjoying the holiday with your family and friends!! My hubby had to work today (and it's his birthday!!) so I'm just hanging out with the kids and waiting for him to get home and grill some steaks!

I bought a new camera yesterday and have been playing with that. I broke my other camera during the week- I'd like to see if it's fixable since it is a nice one.. but I didn't want to be camera-less with a newborn at home so I picked up a new one and LOVE it!!

I did manage to remember to take some artwork photos to post this week and here's the first...
This is the thank you card design I've been using for my baby thank you's. We have received a lot of really nice gifts and I am trying to finish all the thank yous- I ran out of the Juniper cardstock so I'll have to finish them when it comes in.
All supplies by Close to my Heart:
White Daisy, Brown Bag and Juniper cardstock and inks, Welcome Baby Stamps and Special Delivery Stamps. Since most of these are being mailed- I didn't add any embellishments.
That's it for now- have a great day!

no art for a good reason...

I do have art to share... but no photos at the moment- I'll get to that soon - I promise!!
In the meantime I do have a few photos I'd like to share that explain my absence!!

I'm so excited to show you photos of our new little boy- Kaden!!

He's the reason my posting over the last few months has been minimal. As much as I'd love to say that being pregnant this time was as much fun as the first time...it would be a big fat lie!! Of course the end result was well worth all the pain and discomfort I felt- I am thrilled to have this little guy join our family!! He was born May 11th- so I celebrated Mother's Day as a mother of one and my birthday May 12th as a mother of 2!! How fun :) Since he was born by repeat c-section- I was in the hospital a few days. The hospital food service even brought me a cake for my birthday- It was so yummy!!

Here's a couple more pics to show off my family (except me since I took them!! I do have a "first family photo" that my mom took when we were home but i haven't uploaded it yet)
Fortunately for me, but not my photos, my hospital room was sooo sunny during the day. It was hard to get photos with a good exposure mid-day. I do love this one though- look how excited my daughter is!! She loves her little brother so much. She is so helpful and lets me take a nap each day so I can heal as quickly as possible. I always thought I wanted my kids closer in age- but honestly- since they are different genders anyway- the 4.5 year difference is working out nicely at this stage.

This one I had to share just because it was so fun to take! You can see the tail end of the helicopter in the back ground. This is a photo of my mom and daughter watching the helicopter take off from the helipad outside my window. Addison was so excited to see the helicopter take off... she had been waiting patiently to catch it and since she was only in my room a total of 2 hours in 3 days... it almost didn't happen!
So- there you go! A few photos I wanted to share with you and a promise that I'll be back with art this week... I'll show you the thank you's I've been making for baby gifts!

Be Yourself and the new Summer Idea Book!

Hi There-
Just a quick post showing off a card I made using the new May Stamp of the Month "Be Yourself". It's such a cute set!
Supplies: Grey Flannel, Watermelon and White Daisy Cardstock, Black and Watermelon Ink Pads, White Daisy Mini Medley (for the flower belt on the pink dress)

Inside sentiment: "Be yourself... everyone else is taken" To see the full set and more artwork go to my website and click the Stamp of the Month link on the right side. This stamp set is available May1-31 only (if it comes out again it won't be until summer 2010!

The new Summer Idea Book went live on May 1st and it is FULL of great summer themed stamp sets including camping, beach etc. I really REALLY think it's one of my all time favorites. Here's a picture of the Idea Book showing some of the outdoors themed new products! To see the catalog on-line go to my website and click the Summer Idea Book link on the bottom right side. I wish I could link you directly but the only way I can seem to do it is to take you to the website first and have you click on it!!

Hope you are enjoying the weekend- I'm trying to finish last minute prep in anticipation of our new arrival who will be here no later than a week from tomorrow!! It's exciting times here in our home... but crazy as well- I'll try to keep posting through the week but there's no promises!! My daughter is home with me this week instead of daycare and we've got kindergarden screening, dr's appts and more to keep us busy!
