Sorry for the delay in posting... I attempted a post last week but blogger was messed up... then we had my parents in town over the weekend, daycare is closed this week so I'm home with both kids AND next Monday I return to work after being on maternity leave ALL summer...so I'm trying to get a few things done before I'm back to work!
I still have some artwork to show from the Summer Stamp and Scrap so I'll be posting all of that over the next few days because... I have a bunch of new products from the Autumn Idea book that i'll be playing with and will want to start showing that off soon too!!
ok... Today's post is of a set of 4 mini gift enclosure cards (3x3) made using the Summer Booking set from CTMH. Each of the class attendees received this set as part of the class and this is what we made with it:
All four cards are 3x3 and use a 3x3 swatch of paper from the Back Country Level 2 paper pack. I alternated which side of the paper we used so two cards had a green background, and two the blue. It's the same paper just reversed. The first uses the "fan" tastic image inked in Black and colored with the Crystal BLue Marker and the edge sponged with Crystal Blue stamp pad. A little white ricrac finished it off.
The second card photo is slightly blurry but you get the idea! The image was stamped in black and colored with the Cranberry marker. Some Cranberry grosgrain and white ric rac finish off the left side.
The third card uses the green side of the paper as the background for this cute berry image! The berry is stamped on Colonial White with Black ink. Cranberry and Topiary markers were used- plus the black marker to color the seeds. The finishing touch on this card is some Colonial White crochet ribbon (part of the Colonial White Designer Ribbon Collection- I love it!)
The final card in the set used the Oopsie "daisy" image. To make the daisy look white- I colored the center with Sunflower, added a bit of Crystal Blue marker along some petals- and outlined the entire image with Grey Flannel marker. It's hard to tell but the white square is edged with Bamboo ink which is why there's a Bamboo strip of paper on the left. The Outdoor Denim twill was a fun addition.
As always- the cards are much cuter in real life... and therefore they deserved a cute box to keep them in.
I used a fun see through hinged metal tin. Cranberry cardstock makes the band around the tin and some felt flowers were used for the decor (a large tulip flower was painted white because the tulip seriously clashed with the cranberry.
So there you have it! A set of mini gift cards and their case. Have a great day and I'll be back with more tomorrow!
