Back to work

Back to work I go... for 2 days and then on vacation again till next Monday. Aside from my "real job" I've also been back to work on my papercrafting... crossing items off my list left and right. I finished a couple cards that I'm going to submit to try to get published so I can't show those yet but I've also been finishing the last touches on four layouts for a class I'm teaching this weekend. Today I'll show the first 2 and tomorrow the last two. My friend/ hostess wanted each participant to make two winter layouts and 2 Christmas layouts so here is one of each:

Each participant will receive half a pack of the CTMH Aspen Paper Pack and half of the Evensong pack plus all the embellishments to create the layouts. I always have to add extra cardstock for the bases and this time they are each getting a sheet of the brand new HodgePodge Color Ready Alphabet stickers that they will sponge and decorate to match the layouts- We use them on both layouts shown today and one tomorrow- plus they take the extras with them!! I'm so excited about this class because I truly adore all 4 layouts!!

This first one holds 2 standard 4x6 photos- 3- 3x4 1/2 and then technically you could fit 2 more photos on the open space with the stained glass looking paper. The layout looks fine with those spaces empty or full so it gives each person their own option depending on how many photos they have. Also-

there are 2 journaling spots so removing the strips on the right page opens up another small photo space- or one long space for maybe a 5x7 that gets trimmed on the sides? Several options on this one and that is one of the reasons I love it.
Stamps: Holiday Joy Ink Colors: Olive and Cranberry

Here's a close up of the "Joy" on the left page. I used 2 asterics from the alphabet stickers to make the "o"!

The second layout is "Snow much fun" too!!
The Tree pattern in the paper pack is so darn pretty! I really like the way the Twilight cardstock stands out. The "much fun" at the bottom shows up much better in real life- my camera batteries were going dead so I didn't have time to play with the lighting on my photos. The journaling piece at the bottom left has 3 rhinestones- one in the center of each of the 3 larger snowflakes.

The right page has a cute snowman made from the CTMH November Stamp of the Month- All Decked Out. You can see some sparkle on his hat- I used the Write and Rub glue pen with some prisma glitter. Last but not least is a photo of the word "snow". All of the letters on this layout were decorated by sponging with Bamboo ink then stamping a small snowflake along the bottoms in Twilight ink. The write and rub glue pen was used to add glitter to the snowflakes. I love the sparkly effects this creates!
