This is the second layout I created Saturday... I only had 3 photos to work with so I enlarged the one on the left to 5x7. I almost ALWAYS enlarge at least one photo for a layout- especially when I only have a few photos to work with. It helps fill space and add to the overall look and feel of the page. These photos were taken last August. I had the prints made in January and they've been sitting on a shelf in my kitchen ever since. I've been wanting to scrapbook these photos for a while and just couldn't decide on what to do with them. Last night I was digging through some new paper I purchased from the CTMH Summer Idea Book- and came across this Whoops a Daisy paper! I've loved the brightness of this paper since I first flipped through the book- it was the first thing I ordered. I really REALLY love it with these black and white photos.
The Title ( Put it up to your face and then blow, blow, blow) is from Dora the Explorer... can't remember which video- but my daughter watched it EVERY day last summer and could not blow bubbles without first reciting that quote!! It is forever etched into my mind. The colors are watermelon, ocean, hydrangea, kiwi and white daisy. The large letters are stamped with the CTMH Rustic Alphabet in kiwi and the edges sponged in ocean. I really am loving the look of this layout. The hydrangea paper is distressed with the CTMH edge distresser. I used a few small silver emellishments- just some brads and photo corners. I didn't feel the layout needed much by way of embellishment with all of the paper layers. All of the white daisy paper edges were ink distressed with kiwi ink.
