Birthday Layout

I mentioned Thurday that I was working on some upcoming workshop layouts. This is the first layout from the Blue Ribbon Pack of paper... I love that paper - lots of pretty butterflies and such. My hostess wants the workshop to be appropriate for anyone... so generic enough for people with just boys and just girls...

my first attempt is this birthday layout. To my calculation- it could hold anywhere between 4-9 photos depending on placement and size of photos. I do love this layout- the balloons are from our Nursery Bash set (the stack of elephants are holding the single balloon) The party hat is from the Birthday wish set- the one with the "Birthday wish for ewe" stamp- you know the one!! I used my cutting knife to cut out the stamped hats. My crop-o-dile punched the hole and set an eyelet at the top (to protect the paper from ripping) and I tied some chenille sassy strands throught the eyelet (hence the reason for reinforcing the paper) to look like a fuzzy ball on top of the hat. I think the layout is great for male or female, boy or girl- very generic. For someone that wants it more "girlie" you could easily cut out some butterflies from one of the other paper patterns, and add them to this layout- or some stamped images would be cute as well.
