Getting Ready...

I'm getting ready for my Stamp Club - they'll be here at 1pm today. My workshop area is a disaster... Lots of supplies out from various monthly projects. Ordinarily I'd have prepped everything last night- but I was busy scrapbooking. I went to my friend Tammy's house- she holds Friday night crops a couple times a month and ordinarily it's more work to go than to just stay home... but now that Addie is getting older (3.5 years ) it's a little easier. She and I packed up the car- me with my crop supplies and Addie with her trains... and off we went. Tammy took a great photo of Addie with her buddy Lucas- if I had a scanner I'd post it- the kids were running around in some of Tammy's fancy hats- very cute!! I haven't taken photos of the pages yet ( I finished 6 pages that I had previously started- some needed titles and some needed photos) I am very excited to complete those!!

The card I'm sharing today is a card I made for a Team Swap. (It's my contribution to the swap mentioned in the previous post) The stamp set is the CTMH March Word Puzzle- I'm totally in love with these Word Puzzle stamps- so far they've released Jan- April and in the new Summer Idea Book (which is live to customers May 1st) will be May- August- trust me - I'll be buying all of them!! I used some coordinating embroidery floss to stitch up the sides of my pocket. I purposely chose to tie the knots on the front of the card vs. the back- to add some texture. Honestly- this was a fast card to make- I used my piercing tool to punch the holes and the needle that came with my piercing tool to thread the floss through- I did seperate the floss strands. Embroidery floss is 6 stranded- I used 2 strands to tie my card. I made 4 of these cards in about an hour- and that includes the punching, threading, tieing of the cards AND time to design them!! They really were fast. The cards are sized to be the standard 4.25x5.5 inch cards.

(Supplies- all by CTMH except embroidery floss: Colonial White ink, Blush cardstock and ink, Chocolate, Sweet Leaf and Lilac Mist ink, Life Delights Paper Pack (stripe), March word puzzle Stamp Set, prisma glitter)

I think the ties are my favorite part of the card...
